When I started, I was like everyone else.
I began the flexibility game at level 0.
Daily doms, bad posture, frequent injuries, no physical performance, trouble sleeping and recovering, decreasing height, ...
In short, the whole panoply of someone who clearly doesn't take stretching seriously.
To tell you the truth, I could barely touch the ground standing up.
And even then, my legs were bending automatically without understanding why ?
Looking through my files, I came across some old videos of me stretching.
This allowed me to make a comparison between the before and the after.
Whether for the lower body, where I've gained dozens and dozens of extra centimeters of amplitude.
I went from having difficulty reaching my knees, to easily reaching my feet.
Or whether for the upper body.
I went from more than shoulder width, to having my fists literally touching.

I probably imagine the answer is yes.
These actors who made millions of children dream, including me.
I used to see them on TV doing incredible moves.
Split between two trucks, V-sit, crazy kicks, the list goes on !
I always told myself that one day I'd be able to do it too.
Even if I never thought I could...
And finally, here I am !
The child I was would be proud to see me.
Keep this in mind : it's never too late to make the child you were proud.

That's what a lot of people think, but it's not true.
I only started training during my high school years.
Alone in my room, with no equipment and using only my bodyweight.
At the same time as I was practicing calisthenics, I started stretching at the same time.
And it was then that I improved my flexibility enormously.
I wanted to reduce the risk of injury and optimize my recovery.
But above all, to be able to perform the movements I was training much more easily.
And I saw even more benefits than expected !

Maybe because people think you need equipment ?
Like machines, weights, resistance bands, benches, ...
But no, you don't need any.
All you need is your own body, and that's the most important thing you have in life.
Maybe because people think it's a requirement to have a coach ?
Which is still not true.
You can become even more flexible than a gymnast on your own by following my methodology.
Or maybe because they think you have to start in childhood before it's too late ?
But it's still wrong.
Today I'm 22 years old and I'm making progress with every passing day.
Age will never be a barrier.
I would have reached this level even if I'd started at 30, 40 or 50.
Trust me.
HOW DID I DO IT THEN ?
If I told you that you could find free stretching routines and exercises on the internet.
I wouldn't be teaching you anything.
Like everyone else, that's how I tried it at first.
But I soon realized what was wrong.
No good sensations, slow results (or none at all), still pain and blockages...
In what I found, areas of the body were missing.
It wasn't complete and the exercises were poorly explained.
When I understood this and solved the equation, everything changed.
I've never gained as much flexibility as I did then.
It was incredible when I think back on it !
I managed to create the complete and perfect routine for the human body.

The first thing that comes to mind when you think of flexibility is muscles, isn't it ?
But that's not how it works : it's the nervous system that's at the forefront.
Without it, we'd lose all sensation of our body.
Now, imagine that I take your foot, and push it hard against your head...
Will I succeed, or will it block ?
Spoiler : the correct answer is the first option.
The body isn't made of concrete or stone, it is made to move.
This means one thing : you're capable of going into such positions.
It's just that the nervous system prevents you from doing so by making an alliance with the brain.
They send you pain signals to make you stop what you're doing.
But the solution exists.
All you have to do is make them understand that it's not dangerous.
By taking it step by step, progressively.

They were imagined and drawn for the purpose of the works.
They often have incredible powers and extraordinary abilities.
Authors overdo it, sometimes drawing movements that are totally impossible for a human being.
Except that, in the end, some of them become real in the sense that you can also do what they do by becoming flexible !

Maybe you've heard of it ?
It's hard to believe - I was skeptical myself.
Nevertheless, there's a quick and easy experiment you can reproduce.
Measure yourself once before going to sleep, and a second time when you wake up in the morning.
And you'll see, you'll be at least 1 centimeter taller (a number that varies from person to person).
This means one thing for sure : we shrink over the course of the day.
But also, over the course of our lives...
What happens is that the spine compresses, in conjunction with the discs.
On the following image, I've placed black stripes on at different heights so you can see the difference.
Now, imagine being able to benefit fully and constantly from a height gain.
Which would be several times superior to this test
Well, that's possible thanks to stretching, which decompresses the spine and increases its range of motion.
You don't grow taller as such.
But you can regain the centimeters you've lost from your original height.
It's not magic, it's scientifically explained and proven.

It's a well-known fact that, nowadays, people are increasingly sedentary.
Whether it's sitting still for long periods of time without moving.
Or staring down at your phone for hours on end.

A telling example : when you're leaning forward at your computer.
In this position, the pectoral muscles are constantly contracted and conditioned to remain in this state.

When it pulls too much on one side, it's only a matter of pulling on the other.
Stretches are our best friends !
They do the work for us, allowing us to naturally correct our posture.

The real solution is to stretch.
Tensions are released and every muscle regains its suppleness.

Injuries and pains are unpredictable and can happen at any moment.

There's a natural explanation for this phenomenon, the body stiffens with age.

It was only at the age of 34 that he began to train and unlock the split.
An invaluable skill which, on certain occasions during matches, saves him points.
As we lose flexibility over time, it was necessary for him to stretch in order to really gain flexibility.

He's resting comfortably in a split.
To the point of being able to raise his arms in the air at the same time.
Age has never been a barrier to doing impressive things.

Let's play a game by imagining two people.
One with short arms like a velociraptor.
And another with long arms like a monkey.
Is the one who's closest to touching the ground with his fingers necessarily the more flexible ?
Instinctively, you'd think so.
But that's not true, and I'll explain why.
The person with long arms doesn't need to bend forward very much to do it.
But for the person with short arms, the effort is huge !
Flexibility doesn't depend on limb length.
It simply depends on the angles between the body's joints.
Among two people, the one with the smallest angle is the most flexible.
Having long arms, a long upper body or short legs has no impact on flexibility.
Successfully touching the ground is only a fact, a benchmark for personal progress.
Victor Wembanyama, a French international basketball player, has recently been the talk of the town.
He posted a video showing off his flexibility, in which he is notably able to put his head in his knees.
It's because he's so tall that people were impressed (7'4).
His size has in no way prevented him from getting supple.
Because of his proportions, stretching is essential for him if he wants to reduce his risk of injury.

If a bodybuilder is capable of feats of flexibility, despite his strength and mass.
Clearly, there's no sport that can prevent someone from becoming flexible.
Bodybuilders spend their time destroying muscle fibers by working out every day for hours on end.
Flexibility, strength, endurance, mobility.
All physical qualities can be combined together.
They are not interdependent, which would have been a pity and illogical.
The strength of the human body lies in its ability to adapt to all possible circumstances.
Muscle soreness is no obstacle either.
It's important to remember that the most important aspect of flexibility is the nervous system.
On the contrary, it's advisable to stretch in parallel with any physical discipline.
It helps to develop a better capacity for recovery.
Less damage, because you're flexible and mobile, means less effort is required to rebuild your body.
